ART

Having to spend nearly a week at home, facing my laptop, eating, getting fat and not productive,
My fingers quivered at the hold of some paint brushes,
I opened my drawer, and staring at me were my old boxes of Buncho paint,
and SNAP!
I knew I had to paint!

My passion for drawing and painting has always been there,
and it doesn’t mean when you’re passionate about something,
You’re actually good at it, that’s reality.
I NEVER EVER EXCELED in art,
But my passion has always been there, until now.

So I grabbed my pencil and drawing block,
An empty blank piece of paper,
I shook my pencil back and fourth waiting for some inspiration to kick in,
It started with a rose, a nose, a lady, and then some hair.

While painting, I was telling myself repeatedly,
Art is abstract; the beauty of it is in the eye of the beholder.
Art is not perfect; it’s the little smudges and blots here and there that make each art piece so unique.

And there you have it, my art piece. (dont u dare think it's ugly)

*beams proudly at own art work*
*maybe I should show it to mummy and let her admire my art*
*run’s downstairs*

“Mummy! Look at what I painted!”
“Herm, see!”
“Nice or not?”
“Apa ni, macam primary school drawing”
“………………… *muka monyok*”
“Not bad la, like Picasso, abstract art”
“You want to frame it up, we can hang it here! (Raises painting to the wall)”
“Tak payah frame frame”
“…………………………”

Repeats to self,
“Art is abstract; the beauty of it is in the eye of the beholder.
Art is not perfect; it’s the little smudges and blots here and there that makes each art piece so unique.”

“Art is abstract; the beauty of it is in the eye of the beholder.
Art is not perfect; it’s the little smudges and blots here and there that makes each art piece so unique.”

Actually I think its not bad what?

Glad to be back!

I have a stone heart / hati batu / hati keras according to my mum.
I know I can be very stubborn at times, and once my mind is set it’s hard to turn back.
But of course I can be flexible too, it depends on the situation.
So I actually have a rubber heart, cause im flexible.
Blab bla bla, I know I’m really random.

Anyways it’s my bestie Kiran’s birthday today! So here is a shout out to her
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DARLING! *throws confetti* YOU’RE LEGAL NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU!!

There is a few people’s birthday that I have fixed in my brain calendar, those people are usually important to me. J But sometimes I get mixed up, like my dad’s birthday, I always assume it’s on the 12th of January instead of 13th. But most of the times, I am really bad at remembering birthdays, its not that you’re any less important, it’s just that there certain dates that stick in your head and some don’t.

I know I have said this a dozen times, but time really flies. I have finished my foundation, am now waiting for my results. Hopefully I did okay! Well some of the papers were kind of tough. But if everything goes smoothly, I’ll be starting my degree next semester, which I will be majoring in International Business.

Today I met up with my high school friends. I had a great time, everyone looked great and it was just like those days when we hung out together, nothing has changed. :-)

When Jean saw me she was like Sarah you haven’t changed, you’re still the same! I guess I haven’t. Somehow I had met all kinds of people from all walks of life, and I still stuck to original self, I always tell myself that I have nothing to prove to this people by being someone who I am not.

The girls watched Narnia, since Camille and I watched it already, so we decided to watch Speed Racer instead, Jean joined me and Camille. It was really entertaining and it is the first time I heard, Rain the Korean actor converse in English. Some parts we didn’t understand like why did they have to drink cold milk at the end instead of champagne or something when Speed Racer won the grand prix.

AND I was talking to Camille and Rui Shuang about how hot Ben Barnes is, the guy who acted as Prince Caspian in Narnia. But both of them disagree with me and they prefer William Moseley (Prince Peter). But come on look at these pictures, isn’t it obvious whose hotter?

William Moseley who i think is cute, but Ben Barnes is still hotter!

Sangat panas!

P.S# Thanks Rui Shuang for the pretty necklace ( red one in the picture above). My present for guessing what movie she watched last before today, it was enchanted, she very long didn’t watch already and also my very belated birthday present.

P.S# Somehow today I have a lot to write, since I haven’t blogged for quite some time, take care you all and have a pleasant holiday!

XOXO sarah XOXO

Stuff which you got to do when you were a kid

Maybe be something which I really wanted to do as a kid, but didn’t managed to do.
But guess what, it’s okay, because in my heart, I’m still a light hearted kiddo!
Stuff in this particular post refers to sand art.
You know those you find in shopping malls, where they have basins of a variety of colored sand to chose from, you choose your printed drawing, where you remove part by part of the drawing with a toothpick, and under it is the sticky layer where you pour it with the colored sand.

And in the end, you get your master piece of sand art.

I somehow, I didn’t feel awkward being in the midst of the other kids, in fact I had FUN!

there you go! i did another one, but lazy snap picture.

Snail Mail

Today I woke up early to post a card at the university post office.
It’s actually my first time doing that.
On the way there, I was planning how to ask the Pak Cik how much postage stamps to buy.

So I reached there and I said,
Pak Cik, saya nak post card, kena letak berapa stamp ah?

Did you guys know that to post a card from Malacca to Kluang, it’s fifty cents?

Its okay if you already know, but I didn’t know it. Now I know..

He then told me to stick the stamp with water. I actually brought my glue stick there just in case, because last time when i helped my mum stick stamps i used to lick the stamps and just stick it. But considering the situation it wouldn't be appropriate licking stamps in public. HAHA

Hopefully my card reaches it’s destination safely.

potato

I have been eating a lot of potatoes lately. I love them, they are so flexible. Fried, mash, boiled, grilled, you name it, and the best part, they all taste so good.

Yesterday, labor’s day to be exact, I went downtown, went bowling. Ya I know, I suck at bowling. Ahah! But surprisingly, to my own amazement, I bowled pretty well yesterday. And the people I bowled with was like ya right, you said you cant bowl, sapu longkang only, if I know you can bowl I surely wont give you chance.

All the time I play bowling the thing enter longkang only okay, and I always get moody and feel so stupid after the game. Then my friends will come teach me to bowl some more.

Finally, yesterday was my bowling day.

And I went up the revolving Taming Sari Tower near DP, my gosh, the queue was freaking long and I had to stand for so long my legs nearly broke. You have to pay like RM20 bucks for the stupid thing. It takes 1 minute to go up, 5 minutes it will rotate at the top for you to see the view, and then another one minute to come down. That’s a total 7 minutes if you do the math. You must be thinking I am insane to waste 20 bucks on that stupid thing right, it’s actually 10 bucks if you show you’re my card. But its still freaking expensive. But since I guess it will be a once in a life time thing, I went for it.
